Journey to the West (西遊記) is one of China's great classic tales: a monk travels west in search of sacred scriptures, protected by a band of legendary companions — the Monkey King, a pig marshal, a river monk, a dragon prince — while gods watch over them and demons block their path. Our club is named after its hero, Wukong (大聖, the Monkey King): fearless, fast, and impossible to keep on the ground. At the Journey West Cup, each of the 8 teams plays as one of these characters in its own ink-wash colorway. No backstory needed — pick a character below, and join the journey.

Team Assignment & Jersey Designs
The league hosts up to 8 teams, with both individual and team sign-ups. Depending on individual registrations, 1–2 HAT teams will be formed (players randomly assigned). Only the first team to complete a Team Sign Up gets to choose its design — all other teams will be fairly and randomly assigned their designs one week before the event. Note: registered players who want an extra jersey from another team can purchase one for $25 + HST (regular $30 + HST).
